N-sight Updates & Improvements
N-sight Updates & Improvements
N-sight just got several updates and new functionalities. This release includes new features for managing Apple devices, improved asset tracking, a faster automation engine and enhanced VSS monitoring for SentinelOne EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response).
Track OS Installations
You can now see the "OS Install Date" for each device in your inventory. This makes it easier to track when operating systems were upgraded. Soon, you will be able to filter devices by date range for even more specific searches.
Improved Search
The search function in Asset Inventory has been upgraded to allow you to combine keywords using "OR" and "NOT" operators. This lets you create more precise lists of devices. You can also group filter options together for even more control over your searches.
Apple Device Management Gets Easier with New Automated Tasks
This update to N-sight introduces five new automated tasks for managing Apple devices. These tasks streamline common actions, including:
Checking firewall status,
Enabling and disabling the firewall,
Starting and stopping Time Machine backups (if configured).
These features can be found under the Tasks tab for each Apple device within N-sight.
Improved VSS Monitoring
This update enhances monitoring of Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshots associated with SentinelOne EDR agents. This allows for proactive identification and mitigation of potential issues.
Faster Automated Tasks
A new update to the Windows RC Agent paves the way for upcoming improvements in N-sight automation. Soon, automated tasks will be executed more reliably and in near real-time.
This update includes N-sight Console version 2024.6.14 and Windows RC Agent version 10.14.3 RC.
